The sign in front of our church reads “All are Welcome.” This simple message is a constant reminder to us of the good news that Jesus Christ welcomes us into new fellowship with God and one another. Our challenge as a church is to extend to everyone the welcome Jesus has offered to us. So, you are welcome to join us as we seek to be faithful disciples; as we attempt to live into the fullness of our identity as a body of believers; and as we engage in worship of God, Father Creator, Jesus Redeemer, and Holy Spirit Sustainer. All are welcome: men, women, youth and children. Join with us to discover and employ your gifts in service to Christ and God’s children. We sincerely desire to welcome you into our family of faith.

These current weeks are considered by some traditions as the beginning of Ordinary Time. Ordinary Time is “ordinary” because it is not a season of preparation like Advent, Christmas, Lent, or Easter. The word “ordinary” is actually related to “ordinal” and conveys numbers and counting, which is why the Sundays are described as the “Third Sunday after Epiphany,” or later in the summer, “The Twentieth Sunday after Pentecost.”
Ordinary Time Banner – this banner was created at a Northside Women’s Retreat in January of 2010, “The Work of Our Hands.” The color green is a color which suggests growth and life, and at this particular time of year, the simple, daily following of Jesus.
