The sign in front of our church reads "ALL ARE WELCOME.”  This simple message is a constant reminder to us of the good news that Jesus Christ welcomes us into relationship with God and one another. So, YOU are welcome to join us to discover and employ your gifts in service to Christ and the world God loves.

Due to decreased Covid-19 cases and high vaccination rates among members of the church,
masks are now optional for all church gatherings.  We encourage everyone to mask up, but it is no longer required.

For some time you have heard Susan and I teach about the need to reflect on what God has revealed to us during the pandemic.

You have also heard us talk about the changing dynamics of the world and the institutional church. You may even recall words like "Great Emergence" referring to the shift we are experiencing now.

Then for thirteen weeks we focused on remembering our baptisms. We looked again to the foundations of our faith and the mission of the Church.

All along the way, we have been in prayer, seeking the Holy Spirit's guidance for what is next for our church.

We feel like God is calling us to something fresh and good, but it is the responsibility of the church to discern that direction together.  Additionally, we feel it necessary to do this reflection now so we can begin any fall activities with intentionality. We are a small church which can give us unique strengths, but we also need to be cautious about spreading ourselves too thin.

This is why we need your presence. All of us need to reflect and discern together where God is calling us next. If you care about the future of the church, and if you believe that God is doing a good work through us, plan to be there.

The workshops, led by Susan and I, will follow a retreat structure, and there will be food and small group discussion. The two workshops will be identical; two different dates and times to accommodate different schedules (June 18 and June 26). We will have childcare available for the June 26th workshop. We are also asking that if you sign up you plan to attend for the entire time. Attending only a portion will not be as effective.

If you have any questions particularly about why our church needs to do this now, please contact Susan or me without hesitation. We would love to share why now is the time to look at "What's Next."

Prayerfully and Hopefully,
