The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Mississippi 

As a partner in CBF National, our intent is to be catalysts and enablers, linking churches and individuals to helpful resources, ideas, and information. CBF MS actively  promotes involvement in the Mississippi Poverty Initiative in the MS Delta, and Katrina Projects. 

The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, National

The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, National is a fellowship of Baptist Christians and churches that share a passion for the Great Commission of Jesus Christ and a commitment to Baptist principles of faith and practice. It is their mission to encourage and enable churches and individuals to discover and live out their roles in fulfilling the Great Commission.

Mississippi Baptist Convention

Mississippi Baptist Convention, organized in 1836, is of a service nature as it undergirds Baptist programs and ministries in the state. It relates to 68 Associational Missions Directors to facilitate and strengthen church mission response through the Mission Strategy Division. The Church Growth Division provides resources for revitalization and leadership development.

The Alliance of Baptists

The Alliance of Baptists is a small Baptist organization founded in 1987, with administrative offices are in Washington D.C.  Membership in the organization also includes, but is not limited to, those who come from organizations such as American Baptist, CBF, and independent Baptist Churches. The Alliance has an ecumenical agreement with the Disciples of Christ and United Church of Christ denominations. Mission projects, both national and international, are supported by the Bridges of Hope mission offering. 

The Associated Baptist Press

The Associated Baptist Press, founded in 1990, is the only independent Baptist news agency in the United States. It was created to provide independent coverage of Baptist news, as well as general news that affects and interests Baptists. Their Missions Statement says: "The Associated Baptist Press will serve Christ by providing credible and compelling information about matters of faith." They are a Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Partner.

The Baptist World Alliance

The Baptist World Alliance is a fellowship of more than 200 Baptist conventions and unions comprising a membership of 38 million baptized believers.  The BWA began in London, England, in 1905 at the first Baptist World Congress. It is a global movement of Baptists who share a common confession of faith in Jesus Christ, are bonded together by God's love to support, encourage and strengthen one another, while proclaiming and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit to a lost world.

Metro Baptist Association

Metro Baptist Association exists to coordinate and support the cooperative ministries of the 84 Baptist Churches that make up what was Hinds-Madison Association. Activities include: leadership development, children's and/or youth events, camps, VBS, Bible Drill, RA Camporee, and 12 new church starts. They continue to offer assistance in interim positions of leadership and pulpit supply.

The Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty

The Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty, founded in 1936, exists to promote religious liberty for all and to uphold the principle of church-state separation. It serves 14 Baptist denominations and conferences in the United States. It receives support from these groups as well as from local churches, individuals, foundations and endowment funds.

The Southern Baptist Convention

The Southern Baptist Convention, founded in 1865,  purposes to provide a general organization for Baptists in the United States and its territories; to promote  Christian missions at home and abroad, as well as Christian education, benevolent enterprises, and social services. Our contribution also provides us with the option of sending a messenger to the annual meeting should we so desire.

For further information about our denominational affiliations, please contact our Denominational Relations Committee, chaired by Lou Ann Lee. This committee meets regularly to study our relationhip to various Baptist entities, and to recommend levels of funding.
